About Me

My name is Fernando Morales and I am a passionate structural engineering graduate from the University of California San Diego with a focus on civil structures. I want to apply my engineering skills to contribute to the ongoing advancements in construction and civil engineering. This includes improving the reliability of testing and safety of structures. I am skilled at developing two- and three-dimensional construction drawings using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS; I create CAD drawings of floor plans and street layouts. While in school, I participate in annual Designathons with a team to develop a tactical urbanization solution for problems affecting micro-mobility users on campus; in early 2020 my team was awarded the complete streets award.

In five years, I see myself working for a civil engineering firm that has a great culture and embraces great core values. I see myself seeking a professional license in structural engineering by taking the Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam. I invest my time in learning to be financially secure, confident, and free. My goal is to become financially confident so I can support and honor my family for everything they do for me. I would not be pursuing my goals in structural engineering if it were not for the loving support of my parents.

With Purpose

The purpose of this website is to provide in-depth information about my learning experience and accomplishments in engineering. This is also to provide more information about myself that was not already included in my resume. This website is meant to showcase my work in structural engineering to potential employers.
